Contemporary art by Mu Boyan
OBJECTIVE
The goal of this project is to pick an artist, design a logo and a poster for the exhibition, and
a book for the artist. I chose Mu Boyan as my artist, who is an incredible Chinese sculptor, and Lacma for his exhibition.
APPROACH
Mu Boyan's art is funny, bold and realistic, and my work is to reflect his concept. He hopes to transform flesh into a language, telling the tales of life. Mu's creations also pay attention to life
in intricate details. The project is based on a real exhibition and we should choose a precise museum for the artist. The color and layout should also reflect the concept of the exhibition.
I chose an organic shape as the logo for the human sculpture. The use of poster color and layout should also reflect the concept of the exhibition. The basic colors of the book are taken from his work. For the composition, I use a simple layout with large pictures which bring
a strong contrast.
